Horizontal Base By Tormek

The XB-100 Horizontal Base allows you to sharpen your tools with the grinding wheel rotating away from the edge (edge trailing) instead of into the edge (edge leading). This is particularly advantageous when using the SVD-186 R Gouge Jig, as edge trailing sharpening minimizes the risk of the blade catching on the grinding wheel. This ensures a safer and more efficient sharpening process.

The XB-100 Horizontal Base has been standard on all Tormek S-2000 and S-1200 machines since 8 August 2001. If you have an older model, upgrading with this horizontal base will enhance your sharpening capabilities and improve overall precision.
