Build Your Own Workbench - 3 Day
Description

Build the bench that builds everything else. In this immersive 3-day workshop, you'll craft your own sturdy, hybrid woodworking bench — purpose-built for hand tools, power tools, and real workshop use.

With a solid hardwood base and a moisture-resistant MDF top, this bench is designed to stay put — even during demanding tasks like handplaning or chopping joints. You’ll learn joinery techniques, accurate assembly methods, and smart layout practices as you build a bench that’s simple, strong, and ready to work.

Key features include:

  • 3/4" dog holes for flexible work holding setups

  • An open-frame base for future storage or shelving

  • Optional sizing adjustments to suit your space

  • Guidance on adding a vise (bring your own or purchase in-store)

All materials for a standard 800mm x 1800mm bench are included. You’ll work under the guidance of our experienced instructors, with the option to disassemble your bench for transport or have it delivered locally (Adelaide only).

No prior woodworking experience required — just bring your curiosity and a willingness to work. Open to participants aged 18+

3x7Hr Sessions, held over 3 consecutive days

No prior knowledge is required. Moderate Physical exertion is required during this workshop.

To participate in this workshop you must be at least 18 years of age

Students will need to supply their own dust mask. All other tools & Equipment & PPE will be supplied. If you wish to have a vice fitted to your bench, you will need to purchase one, we can help supply you a vice, get in touch after you place your booking.
