Matchfit System Router Bit - Dovetail Profile

The MATCHFIT Dovetail Router Bit is specifically designed for the MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp system, enabling you to create custom dovetail tracks anywhere in your workshop. Its unique ½" 14-degree profile features built-in roundovers that produce clean dovetail grooves in a single pass, reducing the need for additional sanding. The bit's design includes an 8-degree down-shear carbide that evacuates chips and dust, minimizing friction and heat for cleaner cuts.

Additionally, the 1/32" roundover at the bottom of the groove strengthens the corners, especially important when routing grooves in plywood to minimize the possibility of plies separating. The 1/16" roundover at the top of the groove prevents tear-out and fuzz, significantly reducing the amount of sanding needed. The router collet safety line indicates the proper insertion depth into the router collet, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
